Champaign, Ill. – The Blue Raiders competed at the Illini Invite on Friday morning hosted by the University of Illinois at the Atkins Tennis Center. Middle Tennessee was joined by Arizona State, Illinois and Tennessee in a hidden dual format, no team score was recorded.

All of the Blue Raiders played singles and doubles. John Chin picked up the first victory for the blue and white, defeating Arizona State's Moritz Hoffman in decisive fashion, 6-4, 6-1. Senior, Chris Edge followed serve bouncing Angel Diaz of Tennessee in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6. It was tough sledding for Middle as they dropped the rest of their matches.

Middle Tennessee will face off with Arizona State tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. (CT) followed by Illinois (TBA) on Sunday. There will be live streaming and scoring.
