MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Softball head coach Jeff Breeden announced the Blue Raiders' 2022 schedule on Tuesday, which features 22 home contests and five tournaments.
"We have put together a schedule that will have us battle-tested before we start into C-USA play," expressed head coach Jeff Breeden. "We start out in San Diego with Stanford a perennial PAC-12 power team. That trip is packed with west coast teams. We then head to Alabama and face the home team twice with Virginia Tech and Evansville on tap. After that, we have the Mercer Tournament, after which we then head to Madeira Beach for the Spring Games. We stop back in Atlanta to play Georgia Tech on the way home. We finally return to the 'Boro as we host our tournament in front of the home crowd. Coach Foti put a good field of teams together for our fans to see. We bring an SEC opponent in Mississippi State to Murfreesboro for a midweek matchup, which should be a great night for our fanbase. Our fans can expect us to play quality opponents and show energy, passion, and excitement on the field. We look forward to the 2022 season. The energy will be contagious at Blue Raider Softball Field."
