DePriest, Manley earn 2021 C-USA All-Tournament Team honors

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Senior Peyton DePriest and junior Caroline Manley were recognized to the Conference USA All-Tournament Team for their outstanding performance during the 2021 C-USA Championship.
The C-USA All-Tournament nod marks the first career all-tournament honors for both DePriest and Manley.
"I'm really happy for Peyton and Caroline," express head coach Aston Rhoden. "Both had a great season and performed well during the tournament games and are very deserving of this recognition from the league."
DePriest recorded the Blue Raiders' goal against the Old Dominion Monarchs, which was the only goal that the Monarchs conceded during the entire 2021 C-USA tournament.
Prior to the C-USA tournament, DePriest was recognized as the C-USA Offensive Player of the Year, following a stellar season from the fifth-year senior. DePriest started all 19 matches for the Blue Raiders this season and led the league during the regular season in goals scored (11) as well as points (26), shots (75), and shots on goal (38) this season. Nationally, DePriest tied for ninth in shots, tied for 13th in shots on goal, tied for 26th in goals scored, and tied for 37th in total points.
DePriest produced numerous memorable performances for the Blue Raiders during the 2021 campaign, including scoring a brace and the game-winner to upset the 2020 SEC Tournament Champion Vanderbilt Commodores, scoring a pair of scores against the Ole Miss Rebels, and netting the match-winner against the UTEP Miners. During the season, DePriest was honored with a pair of awards, earning C-USA Offensive Player of the Week and TopDrawerSoccer's National Team of the Week following her career performance against the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Manley was a huge part of the Blue Raiders backline throughout the season and into the C-USA tournament. Throughout her career, Manley has started and played every minute of every game during her three years as a Blue Raider. During the 2021 campaign, she posted a team-high 1,790 minutes played this season. Manley has anchored a Blue Raider backline that posted shutouts against Belmont, FAU, UTEP, and Rice. She was also a vital part of a Blue Raider defense that held the 2020 SEC Tournament Champion Vanderbilt Commodores to only one goal, in addition to producing the game-saving block, with less than two minutes to play, in the team's 2-1 upset victory.
