MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's golf has announced the addition of Jack Heath, a transfer from San Diego State. Heath played in three tournaments in 2021 as a freshman for the Aztecs.
Prior to San Diego State, the Charlotte, N.C., native enjoyed a successful junior career. He was named the 2019 Southern Carolina Conference Player of the Year, a two-time All-Charlotte Observer First Team selection, and a three-time First Team All-Conference honoree, all before his senior season was canceled due to Covid.
Heath led Charlotte Catholic to state titles in 2018 and 2019. He was also the Individual champion of the 2019 North State Invitational.
On the amateur circuit, Heath won the 2019 Junior PGA Championship while breaking the four-day scoring record and the low final round record. He was a Rolex First Team All-American in 2020 and was part of the winning 2019 Junior Presidents Cup team in Melbourne Australia.
The son of Rob and Kelley Heath, the 6'5" lefthander comes from an athletic background, as his father was a collegiate golfer, and his grandfather, also named Jack Heath, played basketball at Arizona State.
