Lady Raiders Open C-USA Tournament Against LA Tech

FRISCO, Texas - Having secured the one seed in the East Division at the C-USA Tournament, the Middle Tennessee women's basketball team earned a first-round bye and will open competition at the tournament in the quarterfinal round on Thursday afternoon. The Lady Raiders will play the West four seed LA Tech on Thursday at 2 pm CT.
Middle Tennessee's quarterfinal matchup can be seen on Stadium. Also, fans are encouraged to tune into the following radio stations to hear the broadcast by Dick Palmer and Duane Hickey WGNS 1450 AM/100.5 FM/101.9 FM/TuneIn App.

About the Lady Raiders
- Anastasia Hayes was named the C-USA Player of the Year and honored as a first-team all-conference performer after a remarkable regular season. Hayes becomes the eighth Lady Raider to be named a conference player of the year and the first since Ebony Rowe in 2013-14. She is currently second in the country in scoring, averaging 26.9 points per game.
- Sophomore guard Aislynn Hayes earned second-team honors. She has followed her breakout freshman campaign with a solid sophomore season, ranking second on the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals, despite missing four games
- Middle Tennessee is second in C-USA and is No. 38 nationally for scoring offense with 74.8 points per game. The Lady Raiders have scored 75-plus in 12 games, including six games with 80-plus. They have topped the 90-point mark three times.
- Middle Tennessee ranks 13th nationally for 3-point field goals per game (9.1) and 26th for 3-point field goals made with 191. The 3-point attack is fueled by Deja Cage, Aislynn Hayes, and Courtney Whitson. Cage is third in C-USA and 40th nationally for 3-point field goals made (52). The graduate transfer is 4th in C-USA and 57th nationally for 3-point field goals per game (2.4).

- Middle Tennessee owns a 61-23 all-time mark in conference tournaments that spans the school's tenure in three different conferences: the Ohio Valley, Sun Belt, and C-USA.
- Middle Tennessee has won seven of its 15 conference tournament championships under HC Rick Insell: Sun Belt (5) - 2006, 07, 09, 10 & 13; C-USA (2) - 2014 & 16.
- The Lady Raiders have appeared in the championship game 23 times with a 15-8 record (83-89, 91, 93, 96, 98, 03-10, 12-14, 16 & 19.
