Raiders Defeat Louisville, Extend Home Streak to 26

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The home winning streak has now reached 26 as the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders tennis team defeated Louisville, 4-0, Friday afternoon at the Adams Tennis Complex.
The Raiders improve to 10-4 on the season while the Cardinals fall to 5-7.
After Louisville took #1 doubles, Max Rauch and Francisco Rocha quickly responded with a 6-2 win at #3 doubles. Tom Moonen and Chris Edge were in a battle as neither side broke serve, until up 6-5, Edge and Moonen came through to win, 7-5.
In singles action, the Raiders took the first set in five of the six matches. Edge was the first Raider to finish as he took his match 6-2, 6-3.
Rauch followed Edge with a 6-1, 6-3 victory to put MTSU up 3-0 in the match.
In a race to see who would finish next, Stijn Slump came out on top as he broke Louisville's serve at 5-5 before taking the set, winning the match, 6-3, 7-5.
The Raiders are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt. MTSU are looking for their second win against the Commodores in nine days as they defeated Vandy last Friday, 4-3, for their first win against the Commodores in 15 years.
