Blue Raider Tennis recognized with 2025 ITA Scholar-Athlete & Team honors

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee's men's and women's tennis programs have been recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for their exceptional academic achievements, earning both ITA Scholar-Athlete honors and ITA All-Academic Team awards.
This is the 13th time the men's program has been named to an All-Academic team, and the 10th occasion for the women's program. Six men's players received Scholar-Athlete honors, while the women's team garnered 10 individual awards.
For the men's team, ITA Scholar-Athlete recipients include Rostislav Halfinger, Kacper Szymkowiak, Ondrej Horak, Igor Mandou Berranger, Jakub Kroslak, and Karim Al-Amin. The men's team also won the Conference USA Sport Academic Award for having the highest team GPA in the Conference USA, which was 3.606. Al-Amin was additionally named to the CUSA All-Academic Team.
On the women's side, ITA Scholar-Athletes are Sara Conde, Cassidy Mataia, Cara Szilasi, Lena Peyer, Ilaria Sposetti, Rutuja Chaphalkar, Zenn Lim, Hrudaya Shah, Eloise Swarbrick, and Alessia Truden. Truden and Chaphalkar were also named to the CUSA All-Academic Team.
To qualify as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, players must have at least a 3.5 GPA and be on the eligibility roster. The ITA All-Academic Team requires a team GPA of 3.2 or higher, including all eligible student-athletes and varsity letter winners in the GPA.
