Undefeated FIU Too Much for Raiders

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team was unable to slow down the undefeated FIU Panthers, Sunday, as they fell 5-2 at the Adams Tennis Complex.
With the loss, the Blue Raiders fall to 7-8 overall and 1-3 in Conference USA while FIU goes to 7-0 and 2-0 in the conference.
Zani Barnard earned two wins with a 6-3 doubles win with Love-Star Alexis as well as 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 win at fourth singles.
Noelle Mauro was the only other Raider to garner a point on the day as she won in straight sets at #6 singles, 7-5, 6-3.
The Blue Raiders will return to action next weekend when they travel to North Carolina to take on conference foe Charlotte on Saturday at 1 p.m before going up the road to take on Davidson, Sunday at noon.
