Blue Raiders Cruise at Davidson

DAVIDSON, N.C. – After a tough loss yesterday, the Middle Tennessee women's tennis team rebounded at Davidson this afternoon, defeating the Wildcats, 6-1.
The Blue Raiders improve to 8-9 on the season while Davidson falls to 5-9.
In doubles, Lidia Burrows and Lee Barnard won 6-2 before Noelle Mauro and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt clinched the point for MTSU, also with a 6-2 victory.
Zani Barnard put the Raiders up 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-3 victory before Burrows made it 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-4 victory on court #2.
Lee Barnard clinched the match for the Raiders on court #1 with a 6-4, 6-4 win.
Schmidt added another point with a 6-3, 6-2 victory on court #6 before Mauro finished the day winning 5-7, 6-0, 10-6.
Middle Tennessee will return to action this Friday at 2 p.m. when they travel to Huntsville to take Alabama A&M.
