Blue Raiders Take Down Alabama A&M

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – It was a successful Friday afternoon for the Middle Tennessee women's tennis team. The Lady Raiders turned in an impressive performance against Alabama A&M, defeating the Bulldogs 6-1 and improving their record to 9-9.
It was a good start for the Blue Raider's in doubles, with Middle Tennessee winning on all three courts. Muskan Gupta and Love-Star Alexis made quick work of their match-up on court two, winning the match 6-2. Noelle Mauro and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt battled in a close match on court three, and were able to come out on top 7-5.
The momentum would stay with Middle Tennessee during the singles matches. Love-Star was the first off the courts, winning in straight sets on court three 6-1, 6-1. Gupta and Lidia Burrows were quick to follow, both taking their matches straight sets. Schmidt would put the final nail in the coffin of the Bulldogs, winning the match 6-4, 6-1 and securing the victory for Middle Tennessee.
The Blue Raiders next match-up will be tomorrow, April 3rd, as they will be looking to take down C-USA rival Western Kentucky. The match will take place at the Adams Tennis Complex at 2:00 p.m.
