JUCO standout Isaiah Turner signs with Blue Raiders

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Blue Raider Men's Basketball has picked up its second signee of the class as Isaiah Turner committed to Middle Tennessee, Head Coach Nick McDevitt announced Sunday.
Turner, a 6-foot-9 forward, comes to Murfreesboro after two seasons at Odessa (TX) College in which he helped the Wranglers to a combined 34-19 record.
"Isaiah's combination of size, skill and athleticism make him a very valuable player on both ends of the floor," McDevitt said. "He can score and rebound it really well, but is also a great passer and we look forward to seeing him in a Blue Raider uniform."
The skilled and athletic forward averaged a team-leading 10.2 points per game and added 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals in just 17.4 minutes per outing.
Turner's 51.1 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent conversion rate from beyond the arc were among the best on the team in 2020-21.
He led the Wranglers to a 20-3 record this season and a No. 7 seed in the NJCAA National Championship.
A native of Auburndale, Fla., Turner will have three seasons of eligibility remaining for the Blue Raiders.
