Chemadi Punches Ticket to NCAA Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Senior Kigen Chemadi punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., in the men's 3000m steeplechase on Friday night at the NCAA East Preliminary at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
In his second trip to the NCAA East Regional in the 3000m steeplechase, Chemadi qualified for the NCAA Championship, crossing the finish line at 8:37.93. This will be the second straight season that Chemadi has qualified for the Outdoor NCAA Championships in the 3000m steeplechase. He finished third overall at the 2019 Outdoor NCAA Championships in the event. He also currently holds the outdoor school record in the event.
Erhire Omamuyovwi wrapped up a successful freshman season with a 2.16m jump in the men's high jump.
