Chemadi and Isa Set for NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Seniors Kigen Chemadi and Esther Isa are set to conclude their track and field career in Eugene, Ore., as they will be competing at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The meet will be held June 9-12 at Hayward Field.
The Blue Raiders have now sent at least one athlete to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships every year since joining Conference USA in 2013-14. At least one Blue Raider has competed in every NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship since 2009.
Kigen Chemadi will compete in the men's 3000m steeplechase semifinal on Wednesday at 7:32 pm CT. The men's 3000m steeplechase final will take place on Friday at 7:24 pm CT. Chemadi broke the outdoor school record earlier this season and captured the title at the C-USA Outdoor Championships. He also finished third overall in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2019 Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
On Saturday, Esther Isa will compete in the women's high jump finals at 4:30 pm CT. Isa was dominant in the high jump all season as she captured the title at the C-USA Outdoor Championships. For her stellar performance, she was also named First All-Conference.
The NCAA Championships will be broadcast on ESPN's family of networks throughout the entirety of the weekend. View the broadcast schedule here.
