National Championship winners heading to the 'Boro

MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee head football coach Rick Stockstill announced today two more transfers into the program who will be eligible immediately. The Blue Raiders have added linebacker Jurriente Davis and cornerback Deonte Stanley who are both fresh off a national championship.
Davis (6-0, 235) and Stanley (6-2, 193) helped lead No. 1 ranked Hutchinson CC to the NJCAA National title with a come-from-behind, 29-27, win over No. 2 ranked Snow on June 5.
Davis, who led Hutchinson with nine tackles and 2.5 TFLs in the championship game, earned First Team All-American honors in 2021. In eight games, he was second on the team with 43 tackles to go with three sacks, four hurries, 7.5 TFLs, five pass breakups, and an interception. Davis is from Greensboro, NC where he played at Dudley High School.
Stanley, out of Dillon, SC, was an honorable mention NJCAA All-American in 2021 after collecting 32 tackles to go with two TFLs, a fumble recovery, forced fumble, two pass breakups and an interception. He had five stops in the NJCAA championship game.
The Blue Raiders will report for fall camp on Aug. 5 with the first practice set for Aug. 6. The 2021 season opener is set for Sept. 4 at home against Monmouth. To purchase season tickets or find out all ticket information, please click HERE.
