MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Soccer hits the road this week for the team's first regular-season road trip of the year, taking on the Ole Miss Rebels at 7 p.m. (CST) on Thursday at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi. The game will be streamed on SEC Network+, which is available through the ESPN app.

Senior forward Peyton DePriest is currently tied with Santa Clara's Kelsey Turnbow as the active NCAA D-I leader in career goals scored with 47 over her five-year career.
Last Time Out
The Blue Raiders (1-0-1) are coming off a double-overtime 1-1 draw against a really tough Samford team on Sunday evening. Senior Peyton DePriest took the ball off a free kick before entering the 18-yard box and drawing the foul to earn a penalty kick. DePriest faked out Samford's Morgan McAslan to jump right and netted the left-footed PK behind the keeper in the 19th minute to give the Blue Raiders the early 1-0 lead. Middle Tennessee maintained its 1-0 advantage until the Bulldogs answered in the 77th minute after a pass from Samford's Taylor Yount found the feet of Zoe Perrin, who made a sliding shot to even the game at one apiece. The Blue Raiders continued to battle the Bulldogs but the 110-minute effort eventually concluded in a 1-1 draw.
Scouting the Rebels
Ole Miss is in its 12th season under head coach Matt Mott. As the leader of the Rebels, Mott as collected a 118-84-26 record and led the Rebels to four NCAA tournament appearances.
The Rebels are off to a 0-0-1 start to the 2021 season, battling the Memphis Tigers to a 1-1 draw in Memphis on Sunday.
Ole Miss is led by senior Channing Foster, who scored a team-high five goals during the rebels 2020-21 campaign and earned a College Soccer News Third Team Preseason All-American nod entering the team's 2021 season. The Rebel's senior Molly Martin scored the team's only goal of the season against Memphis.
Senior Ashley Orkus played all 110 minutes in net during the Rebels season-opener, making six saves and only allowing one goal. Last season, Orkus started all 18 matches for the Rebels and posting a 0.96 GAA and a .825 save percentage.

Thursday's contest between the Blue Raiders and the Rebels marks the eighth all-time meeting between the two programs.
