MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Soccer continue its homestand this weekend as the Blue Raiders host the Detroit Mercy Titans for a 7 p.m. matchup under the lights on Thursday at Hayes Stadium.

Senior Peyton DePriest currently leads the NCAA D-I in career goals scored for student-athletes that have played their entire collegiate career at the Division I level with 49 goals scored throughout her five-year career.
Against the Ole Miss Rebels last Thursday, DePriest's 49th career goal tied the C-USA all-time record for career goals scored and matched the mark set by Marquette's Kelly Roethe from 1996-99.
Scouting the Blue Raiders
Middle Tennessee Soccer is led offensively by DePriest, who has scored three goals for the Blue Raiders over the team's first three contests. Junior Cambell Kivisto recorded the Blue Raiders first goal of the season during the team's season-opening shutout against the Belmont Bruins, while freshmen duo Sascha Nielsen and Kirstine Lykke posted the Blue Raiders pair of goals against the Evansville Purple Aces this past Sunday, both of which were their first career scores.
Middle Tennessee senior Miya Lennon leads the Blue Raiders in assists this season, registering a team-high two. Senior Sam DeBien also recorded an assist this past weekend against the Purple Aces.
Junior goalkeeper Hannah Suder leads the Blue Raiders in net this season registering 290 minutes for the Blue and White, while also tallying a team-high 12 saves and allowing five goals this season. Freshman keeper Talia Nowlan received her first career start this past Sunday, playing all 94 minutes in net, posting a career-high four saves against Evansville.
Scouting the Titans
Detroit Mercy enters Thursday's contest with a 1-3 record and fresh off the team's first win of the season over the Morehead State Eagles, 1-0. Head coach Steve Shelton enters his third season with the Titans and compiling a 5-22-3 record.
Detroit Mercy's Julie Ann Piechocki leads the Titans offensively with two goals scored this season on five shots on goal. Erica Leinweber scored the Titans other goal, which proved to be the game-winner against the Morehead State Eagles and is tied for a team-high one assist this season. Leinweber and Sophia Butkovich are tied for the team lead in assists this season with one apiece.
Scott Jazmine leads the Titans in goal this season, posting a team-high 180 minutes in net and a team-high 17 saves.
Last Time Out
The Blue Raiders fell in an overtime contest, 3-2, against the Evansville Purple Aces this past Sunday. The Purple Aces took the opening lead in the 41st minute to hold a 1-0 advantage at halftime.
The Blue Raiders responded to open the second half as freshman Sascha Nielsen connected on her first career goal wearing the Blue and White off a pass from senior Sam DeBien to even the contest at one apiece.
The match remained a back-and-forth battle until Middle Tennessee freshman Kirstine Lykke found the back of the net in the 85th minute to put the Blue Raiders on top 2-1 with less than five minutes to play. However, the Purple Aces were able to equalize the game once more in the final minute of play to bring the match back even at two and send the match into extra minutes.
Freshman keeper Talia Nowlan, who registered her first career start against the Purple Aces, was able to save the first shot of overtime in the 93rd minute, but the Purple Aces earned a corner in the 94th minute, which Jayme-Lee Hunter connected on a corner kick that was untouched to give Evansville the 3-2 victory.

Thursday's game marks the first ever meeting between the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and the Detroit Mercy Titans.
