Blue Raiders move up two spots at Jim Rivers Intercollegiate

Choudrant, La. – Middle Tennessee took seven strokes off its first-round score at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate on Monday, moving up from 17th to 15th in the 21-team field at 587 (+11). The Blue Raiders carded a collective 290 (+2) at the Par-72, 7,105-yard Squire Creek Country Club, led by sophomores Owen Stamper and Kevin Jegers and graduate student Nick Wolf, who paced the team with identical scores of 72 (E).
Stamper remained in the top 20 on the individual leaderboard at 143 (-1). Redshirt sophomore Gavin Clements ended the second day of the tournament tied for 36th at 145 (+1). Wolf's two-round score of 147 is tied for 52nd heading into the third and final day of the tournament. Jegers rebounded from a first-round 80 (+8) to card an even par round Monday and is tied for 93rd overall. Palmer Sadlowski turned in a 75 (+3) on Monday and sits in a tie for 108th into Tuesday.
The Blue Raiders head into the final round 25 strokes behind leader UTSA at 562 (-14).

"It was a better day today," head coach Mark McEntire said. "We still can improve, but it's good to see the team bounce back. We made a small move and need to do it again tomorrow."
