MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Soccer returns to the 'Boro on Friday as it hosts the Old Dominion for a matchup under the lights at Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
C-USA Leader
DePriest currently leads the Conference USA in goals scored (8), total points (19), shots (48), and shots on goal (20). Nationally, DePriest ranks seventh in goals scored, ninth in total points, and 13th in shots per game, averaging 4.80 per contest this season.
DePriest is also currently the NCAA D-I active career leader for goals scored at the D-I level with 54 goals over her five-year career, followed by Santa Clara's Kelsey Turnbow with 48 goals.
Scouting the Blue Raiders
The Blue Raiders have produced a 5-4-1 record so far in 2021. DePriest leads a Blue Raiders offense that sits fourth in C-USA in goals scored. DePriest has also netted a conference and team-leading eight goals through 10 games this season. DePriest and senior Miya Lennon are tied for dishing out a team-leading three assists this season.
The Blue Raiders' Hannah Suder has played all but one game, recording 848 minutes in net for MT this season. Suder has collected 40 saves and posted a 1.49 goals against average and a 0.741 save percentage, as well as recording the Blue Raiders shutout during the team's 2021 campaign.
Scouting the Monarchs
ODU is in its eighth year under the direction of head coach Angie Hind, who has led the Monarchs to a 56-56-20 mark during her time in Norfolk.
After posting a 4-5-2 record last season, the Monarchs have hit the ground running, posting a 6-2 overall record and are currently on a four-game winning streak entering Friday's contest. The Monarchs have doubled up on goals against their opponents this season, 12-6, holding their opponents to a league second-best six goals allowed this season. ODU is led offensively by Megan Watts, who has netted a team-high three goals through eight games this season. ODU's Carla Morich and Gry Boe Thrysoe follow closely behind with two goals each this season for the Monarchs.
Two ODU keepers have seen time between the posts this season for the Monarchs, senior Kasey Perry has played a team-high 545 minutes in net, recording a team-high 11 saves and posting a 0.66 goals against average and a 0.733 save percentage with three clean sheets over the team's eight games this season.

Middle Tennessee Soccer is coming off a heartbreaking 2-1 road loss against C-USA East-leading Western Kentucky.
The Blue Raiders and Hilltoppers battled back and fourth in the opening 45 minutes as the Blue Raiders held the advantage early on before the Hilltoppers started finding opportunities late in the opening half, but the match remained scoreless after the first half in Bowling Green.
The Hilltoppers broke the stalemate in the 68th minute as WKU's Lyric Schmidt connected on a pass from Sydney Ernst to take the 1-0 advantage. Western Kentucky extended its advantage to two, 2-0, after a Blue Raider penalty in the box led to a Hilltopper penalty kick goal in the 82nd minute. Middle Tennessee cut the deficit to one in the 89th minute when sophomore Eleanor Gough crossed a ball to junior Jennifer Francis for her first career score, 2-1. However, the Blue Raiders ran out of time as the horn sounded to conclude the 2-1 contest.

Friday's contest marks the fifth all-time meeting between Middle Tennessee and ODU. The Blue Raiders and Monarchs are tied in the all-time series at 1-1-2.
