MURFREESBORO, Tenn. –The Blue Raiders take to the skies this week as they head to the Sunshine State to take on the Florida Atlantic Owls on Friday, October 1 at FAU Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. CT.
C-USA Leader
DePriest currently leads the Conference USA in goals scored (8), total points (19), shots (52), and shots on goal (22).
DePriest is also currently the NCAA D-I active career leader in goals scored at the D-I level with 54 goals over her five-year career, followed by Santa Clara's Kelsey Turnbow with 48 goals.
Defending the Goal
Junior Hannah Suder has been a key part of the Blue Raiders success this season. Suder currently ranks second in C-USA and 74th nationally for total saves with 46 through 10 games this season.
One of the highlights of Suder's impressive junior campaign includes her impressive performance against the reigning SEC Tournament champions, the Vanderbilt Commodores, which Suder set a new career-high for saves with eight during the 90-minute battle.
Scouting the Blue Raiders
Middle Tennessee Soccer enters Friday's contest 5-5-1. The Blue Raiders offensive attack, which ranks fifth in C-USA for goals scored, is led by DePriest with eight goals scored over the Blue Raiders 11 contests so far this season. DePriest and senior Miya Lennon have dished out a team-leading three assists this season.
The Blue Raiders goal has been defended by Suder, posting 938 minutes in net, tallied 46 saves, and recorded the Blue Raiders shutout so far this season.
Scouting the Owls
FAU is in its 9th season under head coach Patrick Baker. Baker has helped lead the Owls to a 3-4-4 record this season and 82-63-22 mark over his nine seasons with the Owls.
The Owls are led offensively by the trio of Bri Austin, Miracle Porter, and Mia Sennes. Austin leads the team with three goals, adding an assist to also pace the Owls with seven points. Porter has chipped in two goals, while Sennes has posted a pair of goals herself and ties for a team-leading two assists.
FAU has been led in goal by Amit Cohen, who has played all 11 games between the posts for the Owls this season. Cohen has recorded 1092 minutes for FAU, in addition to posting a 0.82 goals against average, a 0.815 saves percentage and posted two shutouts this season for the Owls.
Last Time Out
Middle Tennessee Soccer is coming off a tough 2-0 loss against the C-USA East leading Old Dominion Monarchs.
The Monarchs broke away in the 15th minute, scoring their first score of the game, which eventually proved to be the game-winner, off a ball from Yuliia Khrystiuk, who crossed the ball into the box to find Carla Morich on a header to give ODU the 1-0 advantage.
ODU increased its lead to two in the 41st minute. Suder denied the Monarch's first attempt, but the ball fell right at the feet of Morich, who netted her second goal of the contest into the top right of the net and brought the score to its final, 2-0.

The Blue Raiders and Owls are even in the series between the two programs, sitting at 9-9-0. Recently, the Owls have had the most success, taking four of the last five meetings between the programs.
