Lenard earns second Conference USA Freshman of the Week award

DALLAS – Teafale Lenard Jr. has been named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week for his role in the Blue Raiders' wins over Florida Atlantic and FIU over the past week. This is the second time Lenard has been named Freshman of the Week in his debut campaign.
Lenard provided valuable bench minutes for MT, shooting 66.7 percent from the floor and throwing down highlight reel dunks, even earning the top spot on SportsCenter's Top Plays on Snapchat on Thursday.
Lenard averaged 5.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, adding two blocks and two steals to his stat line in 16 minutes per night.
Middle Tennessee increased its home winning streak to 10 games, tying its longest since a 21-game streak from the 2012-13 season to the beginning of 2013-14.
The Blue Raiders are back in action Saturday, hosting Southern Miss at 5 p.m. at the Murphy Center.
