Scouting the Florida Atlantic Owls | Watch | Live Stats
The Florida Atlantic Owls (12-6, 2-4 C-USA) started off hot with their preseason but have cooled off since after entering the conference portion of their schedule much like MTSU.
On the attack, FAU is led by sophomores Valeria Rosado, Katelynn Robine, and Klara Zarnovicka, posting 3.52, 2.96, and 2.53 kills per set each, respectively, this season. Rosado's team-leading kills/set also ranks her sixth in Conference USA.
Senior Camryn Vogler anchors the Owls' backline, averaging 3.65 digs/set, while Rosado has tallied a team second-best 2.58 digs/set in 2022.
Middle Tennessee leads the all-time series 16-11 after splitting the two-match series last season. Both matches went to five sets, the last going to the Owls.
Scouting the FIU Panthers | Watch | Live Stats
The FIU Panthers (4-15, 1-5 C-USA) are taking on the Blue Raiders for the second and last time of the regular season, after the Blue Raiders tamed them in a four-set win less than two weeks ago. Since their loss in Murfreesboro, the Panthers have picked up a somewhat notable win over UAB, who has beaten MTSU this season.
As a team, the Panthers average near the middle of the country and bottom of the conference in almost all statistical categories. The bright spot for the team has been graduate student Katie Turner who's turning out 4.76 digs/set this season, good enough for 31st in the nation. In conference play, Turner is averaging 5.13 digs/set behind a block that has only put up 1.42 blocks/set. FIU also ranks in the bottom 20 teams in the nation when it comes to opponent hitting percentage at 0.247.
MTSU leads the all-time series 27-11 and is currently on a six-match win streak against the Panthers, including four wins in-a-row at home.
