Blue Raiders tally three wins in day three of the ITA Regional Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee women's tennis competed in the B Flight of the ITA Regional Championships on Friday.
Love-Star Alexis started the day with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Northern Kentucky's Sofiya Tandelova. Sana Garakani picked up the second singles win for the Blue Raiders. The freshman from Portugal defeated Emmeline Polevoi (Eastern Kentucky) 5-7, 6-2, 10-4.
Alexis and Rutuja Chaphalkar took down Tennessee State's Daniela Koleva and Naomi Von Bose 8-6. Garakani and Noelle Mauro fell in the tiebreak of their doubles match.
HEAD COACH TAYO BAILEY-DUVALL
"Today, we had a solid performance. The freshmen are gradually but surely getting a handle on college tennis. They are starting to make the necessary adjustments to get wins. I am looking forward to a few more solid performances by Sana and Love-Star tomorrow in singles."
