Stamper earns second C-USA Player of the Week award

DALLAS - Owen Stamper has been named the Blenders Eyewear Conference USA Player of the Week for the second time this season, as announced by the conference today. Stamper finished second at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate this week with a 54-hole score of 217 (+1).
Stamper was one of two players in the 104-man field to have two rounds under par in the tournament. His 11 birdies were tied for third among the field.
This is Stamper's second weekly award of the year after being named C-USA Player of the Week for his second-place performance at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate. This is the third C-USA Player of the Week honor of his career, tying Kevin Jegers for the second-most since the Blue Raiders joined the league.
The Scottsville, Ky., native leads MTSU with a 71.0 stroke average, 54 birdies and nine rounds of par or better.
