MTSU is in Texas for matches with UTEP and North Texas

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee volleyball team is on the road for a pair of matches in Texas. Friday night they will kick off the trip with UTEP at 6:00 p.m. MT/7:00 p.m. CT and then Sunday they will be in Denton for a match with North Texas at 1:00 p.m. CT. Friday's match will be streamed on CUSA.TV and the North Texas match will be on ESPN+.
Last weekend the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (15-9, 4-6) were able to collect two wins at home, sweeping Louisiana Tech and then beating Florida Atlantic in a five-set battle. Freshman Adri Rhoda went on to earn her fifth C-USA Freshman of the Week honor after leading all freshman in scoring and attacking. Senior Kayla Henley was second in conference last week for hitting percentage, after tearing up the Lady Techsters and Owls with 28 kills on a .511 percentage.
As the standings sit heading into this weekend, the Blue Raiders are currently in sixth. Including this weekend's matches, Middle Tennessee will have four more matches before the postseason begins. Last weekend's win over FAU guaranteed the Blue Raiders their first winning season since 2013.

The UTEP Miners (13-11, 7-4 C-USA) are on a two-loss streak after playing in-state Rice and North Texas this past weekend on the road. The Miners are currently third in conference standings.

The two teams are tied 12-12 in the all-time series with the Blue Raiders on a two-match wins treak heading into Sunday's match.
