MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raider volleyball team has announced the signing of transfer Laure Jansen. The junior will be transferring from Arkansas-Little Rock to Middle Tennessee this coming Spring.
In two seasons with Arkansas-Little Rock, the Netherlands native has racked up some stellar performances on offense and defense with a total 466 kills and 583 digs.
"We are super excited to have Laure join our family," said Head Coach Chuck Crawford. "She brings a lot of experience within all facets of the game."
Jansen's ability to play six rotations will make her a key part of the team heading into their much-anticipated Fall 2023 season. The junior was second on her team this past season with an eye-popping 2.92 digs per set to go along with a .958 reception percentage. In 2021 Jansen was second on the Trojans .975 reception percentage and third with a 2.74 digs per set average.
On the offensive side, Laure racked up 466 kills and 56 service aces combined the last two seasons, which led UALR. This season against Morehead State she hit home a career-high 23 kills (23-8-50) on a .300 hitting percentage and has shown the ability to take over on the attack at just 5'11".
Before her collegiate career, Laure played club for VoCASA and graduated from Rij IJssel High School in 2021. Jansen's mother, Karin de Krieger, played volleyball professionally in Belgium.
"She's a very motivated individual with a true passion for the game that will make an immediate impact in our program."
