Signee Spotlight: Luke Earnhardt

Middle Tennessee Baseball has finalized its 2022 signing class. Every week, goblueraiders.com will take a closer look at each future Blue Raider. This week's spotlight is on Luke Earnhardt.

Rabun Gap, Ga.
Earnhardt has been effective on the mound in his varsity career with Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, posting a 10-1 record with a 1.84 ERA and a .191 opponent batting average in 23 games pitched. The southpaw is a two-time All-Conference nominee while he's been a part of two high school baseball conference championships.
Outside of high school play, Earnhardt has pitched for the Southeast Sox and Real Ballers where his success has continued. In 42.2 innings pitched, Earnhardt struck out 74 batters and had a 1.96 ERA.
The son of Dale and Teka Earnhardt and brother of Dallas and Josie, Luke's family is full of athletes, representing sports such as football, baseball, basketball and softball. His sister Josie, currently plays on the North Georgia women's basketball team, while his brother and father both played football at Emory and Henry College and Wake Forest, respectively.
"Luke Earnhardt will be a great fit for our program and pitching staff," Middle Tennessee head coach Jerry Meyers said. "He adds to our left-handed balance and has shown advanced pitchability. He commands his pitches well and will continue to develop his ability to attack hitters in multiple ways.
As Luke gains strength and experience, he projects to be able to change speeds well and keep hitters off balance. We are excited to watch his growth as he works to establish himself in the future of Blue Raider Baseball."
