Kwarteng Snags C-USA Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

DALLAS – Graduate Student Abigail Kwarteng takes home Conference USA Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors for her incredible display during the Tiger Track Classic hosted by Auburn, March 18 - March 19.
Kwarteng, a transfer from Alabama, dominated in her first official meet as a Blue Raider on Saturday. She took first place with a high-jump height of 1.84m (6'0.5").
Her height of 1.84m is the second-best mark in the nation and is the highest placing held nationally by any athlete in Conference USA currently. The next closest women's high jump mark in C-USA is 1.68m, held by Maci Bunting of Charlotte.
What's next for the Blue Raiders?
The Middle Tennessee track and field team is sending five runners to the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State on Thursday, March 24, and Friday, March 25.
