Senior Lee Barnard is coming into this weekend ready to change her fortune on the MT top court, the Midstream, South Africa native has lost her last four matches at No. 1. In doubles, Lee has won four of her last six matches paired with Noelle Mauro.
Similarly, Junior Muskan Gupta is looking to hit the reset button this weekend after dropping four-straight and pick up some wins on the Blue Raider court No. 2. Two of her last four matchups have gone into competitive third sets, Gupta falling just on the wrong end both times.
Love-Star Alexis is in good form recently, winning four of her last seven singles and four of her last six doubles matches, both on court No. 3 primarily.
Senior Zani Barnard is 7-2 in her last 10 singles matchups heading into this weekend, she currently sits at 9-8 on the season and has been an anchor for MT in the bottom half of the singles lineup.
Mauro and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt come into the weekend with a team-leading 10 singles wins, primarily playing on courts Nos. 5 and 6.
Marshall heads into Friday's match winners of three-straight contests against Miami (OH), UNLV, and UTSA. The Herd are 1-3 against C-USA opponents, picking up their first win in their last match against the Roadrunners at 4-1. Prior to that win, they suffered losses to FIU and North Texas, who the Blue Raiders lost to earlier in the season.
Cincinnati sits at 13-4 on the season and has won 12 of their last 13 matches, four of those contests have been sweeps. Ioana Guna and Elizabeth Pendergast lead the attack for the Bearcats, Guna has a 6-8 record on court No. 2 and Pendergast has a 5-9 record on the top court.
