Kwarteng Earns Second C-USA Field Athlete of the Week

DALLAS – Graduate Student Abigail Kwarteng takes home her second Conference USA Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors for her incredible display during the Tennessee Relays hosted by Tennessee, April 8th to April 9th.
In just her second official meet with the Blue Raiders, Kwarteng took gold in both the women's high jump and long jump. During the high jump, Kwarteng hit a mark of 1.83m which would be second in conference to her previous mark of 1.84m. In the long jump, she reached a personal-best mark of 12.79m. All three jumps she landed legally were better than anyone else's during the meet.
Kwarteng's 1.84m in the high jump is still a top-10 mark in the nation and her triple jump mark from this weekend is the 30th best mark currently.
What's next for the Blue Raiders?
The Middle Tennessee track and field team will be heading back to Auburn for the second time this outdoor season for the War Eagle Invitational Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16.
