Blue Raiders Heading to 54th Annual Tennessee Relays

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men's and women's track and field teams are heading to the 54th Tennessee Relays hosted by the University of Tennessee Friday, March 8th, and Saturday, March 9th.

The Meet Schedule
The Blue Raiders will kick off their weekend Friday with the women's long jump at 2:00 p.m. CT. On Saturday, men's high jump and women's triple jump will start things off at 1:00 p.m. CT.

Programs represented at the Tennessee Relays include Ball State, Cincinnati, Clemson, Dartmouth, ETSU, Eastern Michigan, Furman, Georgia, Indiana, Kennesaw State, Kent State, Louisville, Miami (OH), MTSU, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Ohio, Ohio State, Penn, Rutgers, SEMO, South Carolina State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Youngstown State.
Last Time Out for the Blue Raiders - Recap
Eusila Chepkemei was back in action for her first meet of the outdoor season and didn't skip a beat from her First Team All-American indoor season. Chepkemei took first place in heat seven of the women's 5000m with a program-record time of 15:57.61. The previous MT program-record time was 16:31.35, set in 2016 by Jackline Kiprono.
Junior Habtamu Geta and freshman Vincent Yegon finished in 57th and 113th with times of 14:17.47 and 14:31.71 respectively. Geta's time of 14:17.47 is a new personal best.
Senior Joice Jebor finished in 21st place with a time of 10:39.19 in the women's 3000m steeplechase.
