NCAA Norman Regional Preview: Barnard, Wolf set to compete as individuals

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Michael Barnard and Nick Wolf will take the course this week in the NCAA Norman Regional at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Okla. The tournament will take place Monday, May 16 through Wednesday, May 18, with 18 holes played each day.
Barnard, the No. 119 ranked played in the country according to Golfstat, earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional on the strength of his individual medalist performance at the Conference USA Championship. Wolf garnered an at-large bid based on his No. 139 national rating. The two Blue Raiders are part of a group of 10 individuals in the Norman Regional playing alongside 13 teams. The top individual not on one of the five advancing teams will advance to the NCAA Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., May 27-30.
WEATHER
The forecast for Norman features high temperatures in the upper 80s to mid-90s with partly cloudy conditions and a minimal chance of rain. Winds are projected to be as strong as 21 miles per hour Tuesday.
