MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's golf starts its fall schedule with a return to Choudrant, La., for LA Tech's Jim Rivers Intercollegiate. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate, which will be held at the par 72, 7,105-yard Squire Creek Country Club.
MTSU will look to improve upon last season's 15th-place finish at Squire Creek.
The Blue Raiders are coming off a 2021-22 season that saw six top-five finishes, including back-to-back wins to open the spring season. Defending Conference USA Individual Medalist Michael Barnard is one of six Blue Raiders returning as Mark McEntire has brought in four newcomers to reload for 2022-23.
WEATHER FORECAST
The forecast for Choudrant shows little chance of rain despite cloudy conditions during the first two days of the tournament before clear skies are predicted for Tuesday's final round.
NOTES
"I'm very excited to get the season started with this team. We have had some great competition, and I love the depth of this team. We can't wait to see them in action!"
