Snider, the brother of current Blue Raider sophomore Eston Snider, batted .330 with 10 doubles, 13 stolen bases, 30 runs scored, a triple and a home run in his junior season at Page High School in Franklin, Tenn. Snider was honored on the All-District team after Page made a regional appearance in 2022.
Playing for Rawlings Southeast MAD Mavericks, Snider batted .358 with six doubles, three triples, two home runs, 16 stolen bases and 38 runs scored.
In addition to his skills on the baseball diamond, Snider is an All-District basketball player. Snider earned All-District Tournament and All-Region Tournament Team honors last season.
"Grant possesses many of the qualities we pursue in our program," Blue Raider Head Coach Jerry Meyers said. "He is athletic and has good actions as an infielder with solid swing mechanics at the plate. Above that, he is an outstanding student and competitor. We can envision Grant developing on a consistent basis with his aptitude and willingness to accept coaching. He is a great fit for Blue Raider Baseball and our university."
The son of Dwayne, a former baseball student-athlete at Lipscomb from 1987-1991, and Beth, Grant plans to major in engineering at MTSU. Follow Grant on Twitter (@SniderGrant06) and Instagram (@gsnide1).
