Blue Raiders Set for Road Duel Against LA Tech

RUSTON, La. – Middle Tennessee Soccer heads into its final three matches of the regular season and will face the LA Tech Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon for a Conference USA matinee battle.
Kickoff from Robert Mack Caruthers Field is set for 1:00 p.m. ESPN+ will carry the match.

Notes and Storylines
» Manon Lebargy scored twice and had an assist in MTSU's thrashing of Chicago State. It marked the Lille, France native's second brace of the season, and the first time a Blue Raider paired two goals with an assist since Peyton DePriest did so against UAB on Nov. 1, 2019. Lebargy's six goals this year lead the squad.
Lebargy had her third assist of the season against UTEP when delivering a long ball to a running Taijah Fraser, who in turn passed to Eleanor Gough for the opening goal.
» Eleanor Gough has scored two 87' goals for the Blue Raiders this year. She had the match-winner in a 1-0 victory at Howard Aug. 27 before equalizing at Tennessee Tech on Sept. 17 in a 2-2 draw.
The Milton Keynes, England native also has the earliest goal scored in a match this year for the Blue Raiders, opening the scoring against Sam Houston Oct. 8 in the 9'. She followed with a 34' minute goal Oct. 12 against UTEP and is now tied for the team's second-leading scorer.
» On Sept. 29, Faith Adje recorded a hat trick off the bench against Chicago State, scoring in the 35', 40' and the 53'. Adje's hat trick was the first for the Blue Raiders since Ashley Shimberg scored four goals at Marshall on April 9, 2021.
» Hannah Suder and Caroline Manley seek spots on all-time program career record lists in 2023.
Manley surpassed Vanessa Mueggler on Oct. 8 for most minutes played in Blue Raider history. Manley—a graduate student from Arlington, Tenn.—has not missed a match or start since beginning her MTSU career in 2019, which includes a run of 76 matches and starts. She has played 5,666 consecutive minutes since Oct. 11, 2019, and has 6,942 total minutes under her belt across her historic career.
Suder meanwhile currently stands in the top 10 of numerous program goalkeeping records, including being fourth in career saves (225), fourth in games started (58), third in games played (63) and fourth in minutes played (5,330:32).
Behind Enemy Lines
» LA Tech carries a 3-9-3 record into the match and is seeking its first league win. The Bulldogs are currently 0-3-2 in CUSA play, dropping a 1-0 decision at WKU in their last fixture.
» Ireland native and junior Lauren Egbuloniu is the team's leading scorer with seven goals, and has two assists to her name. Freshman Kyra Taylor is second in goals with six.
» Head coach Steve Voltz is in his third season at the helm in Ruston.
Next Up
The Blue Raiders will get a full week off before returning to action Oct. 22 at Jacksonville State. MTSU will then wrap up the regular season at home against FIU on Oct. 27.
