Blue Raiders Fall at LA Tech
10/15/2023 4:04:00 PM | Women's Soccer
RUSTON, La. – Middle Tennessee Soccer conceded twice in a 2-0 setback at the LA Tech Bulldogs.
LA Tech's Kyra Taylor tallied a brace for the home team, scoring less than two minutes into the game as well as the third minute after halftime.
The Blue Raiders recorded three shots in each half, and goalkeeper Hannah Suder snagged five saves.
Caroline Manley became the first Blue Raider to enter the 7,000 career minutes club in program history, stretching her total to 7,032 total minutes across her MTSU career. She previously set the program career minutes record against Sam Houston on Oct. 8.
Rhoden's Roundup
"Today definitely wasn't our best performance, given how we've been playing the past few games. I think we never got into a rhythm. Their first goal, coming as early as it did, had us chasing the game. We had some good moments, but they weren't long or consistent enough," said head coach Aston Rhoden.
By the Numbers
3: Manon Lebargy had a team-high three shots.
2: Idun Kvaale and Cambell Kivisto each had shots on target.
Next Up
The Blue Raiders will get a full week off before returning to action Oct. 22 at Jacksonville State. MTSU will then wrap up the regular season at home against FIU on Oct. 27.
