Blue Raiders sweep Sam Houston on Saturday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team hosted the Sam Houston Bearkats on Saturday at Alumni Memorial Gym. The Blue Raiders won in three straight sets.
The Blue Raiders (12-6, 4-3 CUSA) defeat the Sam Houston Bearkats (7-13, 1-6 CUSA) with set scores of 25-14, 25-20 and 25-11. In the third set, MTSU hit at a hitting clip of .520. The Blue Raiders held the Bearkats to a hitting percentage of -.096 for the match.
Redshirt Kayla Henley led the team with eight kills on a hitting percentage of .375 and added three blocks. Sophomore Adri Rhoda recorded seven kills on a .308 hitting clip. Graduate student Kaylee Oscarson tallied 10 total blocks earning 3.3 per set. Senior Taylor Eisert finished the match with 33 assists tallying 11 per set. Redshirt senior Dasia Smith earned six kills on a .750 hitting clip.
