MTSU Softball to Host Elite Hitting Camp

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee softball hitting coach Bryce Brentz has announced his first hitting camp, coming this winter on December 16 & 17.
The camp is open to any and all entrants and are only limited by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
In this camp series, Coach Brentz will be joined by Joey Lewis, owner of The Hit Lab. Lewis has coached over 50 Division 1 signees in baseball/softball, while working with numerous professional athletes as well. Lewis graduated from the University of Georgia, where he won the SEC Baseball Championship in 2009. He was drafted by Kansas City later that year. He began his coaching career at Georgia in 2013 as an Assistant Coach of the baseball team.
Individuals who attend this camp will participate in drills used by successful college and professional athletes. All camp sessions will be conducted by Coach Brentz, who holds the all-time home run record for MTSU's baseball team and was a 2020 inductee into the Blue Raider Sports Hall of Fame.
Brentz also led the NCAA in home runs in 2009 and went on to play for the USA National Team that year. He made his major league debut for the Boston Red Sox on September 14, 2010 after being a first-round pick and would go on to play 10+ years professionally.
