MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders are heading into the postseason as they have been selected to host the first and second round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship. Their first-round matchup will be against Ball State on Thursday, November 26 at 6 p.m. CT. The winner will take on the victor of Clemson and Eastern Kentucky, which will be the first match played on Thursday. General admission for the matches is $5.
"It is an incredible blessing anytime our program can play in postseason," said MTSU Head Coach Chuck Crawford. "It allows our players to continue developing as well as helping them understand the importance of performance during the regular season and CUSA tournament to earn the opportunity to play in postseason competition."
Middle Tennessee posted their best record since joining Conference USA in 2013. MTSU earned 20 wins for the first time since 2011 and picked up their first ranked win since 2010 by defeating No. 25 Auburn earlier in the season.
