Volleyball set for final series of 2025

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Volleyball is slated to play the final series of the 2025 season at home in the Alumni Memorial Gymnasium against Missouri State. The Blue Raiders will first play the Bears on Friday, November 14 at 5:00 p.m. CT. Middle Tennessee Volleyball will then play again on Saturday, November 15 at 11:30 a.m.; the match will be Senior Day for the Blue Raiders.
Entering the weekend after a tough series at FIU, Middle Tennessee is looking to end the season on a high note against Missouri State. Against the Panthers, the Blue Raiders posted their best blocking performance of the season on November 8. Middle Tennessee totaled 13 blocks, Logan Carr tied a career high seven blocks during the match and Michaela Dlouhá tied a season high six blocks.
On November 7, the Blue Raiders notched a tied third best nine service aces against the Panthers. Raegan Durbin notched a match high three service aces, Caroline Macander and Dlouhá each posted two. Aowyn Schrader, Durbin and Dlouhá led the Blue Raiders offensively, combining for 46 kills on the weekend.
Scouting the Missouri State Bears
Missouri State enters the weekend 10-15 under the leadership of Steven McRoberts in his 6th season. The Bears are eighth in the Conference USA standings with a conference mark of 5-9.
The Bears are led by graduate middle blocker Lizanyela Lopez, who leads the conference in total blocks with 112. Missouri State leads the conference in team blocks and is second in the conference in digs per set. Brooke Eslinger leads the Bears with 286 digs, 12th in Conference USA in total digs. Offensively, Peyton McKee and Rilynn Finley top the Bears in kills with 255 and 239 respectively.
Middle Tennessee is 0-6 against Missouri State. The last time the two teams met was in 2015, where the Blue Raiders were swept by the Bears. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
