MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Soccer has announced its 2023 Spring Schedule, with five friendly matches including four at Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium.
"I am really looking forward to the spring 2023 season. The schedule will challenge us in several different ways and will assist in the development of our young players," said head coach Aston Rhoden.
The Blue Raiders will host a tournament on March 18 to open the schedule, with North Alabama, Cumberland and Southern Indiana coming to Murfreesboro. MTSU will open the tournament with a 10:00 a.m. fixture against USI before playing either a consolation match at 2:00 p.m. or a final at 4:00 p.m.
The Raiders will welcome Tennessee Tech one week later on March 25 at 3:00 p.m. MTSU will visit Chattanooga for its sole road spring fixture at 12:00 p.m. (CT) April 1 before concluding the spring season at home against Trevecca on April 15 at 11:00 a.m.
Head Coach Aston Rhoden returns for his 22nd season at Middle Tennessee, fresh off earning his 200th victory as a Blue Raider. Assistant coaches Zak Davis and Hannah Hoefs also return for the second seasons on the MTSU sideline.
Information about the 2023 regular season, including the schedule and match times, will be announced later this year.
