MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee softball drops the finals game of the series with UAB by a score of 10-7 on Sunday.
The Blue Raider defense totaled five errors on the day, allowing the Blazers to take advantage with a few runs.
UAB scored two early runs in the top of the first today to claim the lead they held most of the game. The Blue Raiders got one run across in the bottom of the first, off an RBI from Ava Tepe.
Heading into the third inning the game was all tied up at three after Amaya Harris hit a two-RBI single. The errors plagued MTSU in the fourth allowing UAB to score four more runs.
The Blue Raiders went for their late game push in sixth after Shelby Sargent scored two with a single to make the score 10-7. Their comeback effort fell short on Sunday, but MTSU had already won the weekend series over the Blazers.
