HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis defeated Alabama A&M 6-1 on Sunday, March 26 in Huntsville, Ala.
The Blue Raiders claimed the doubles point winning all thre doubles matches. On court No. 2, Sana Garakani and Noelle Mauro defeated their opponents 6-2. Love-Star Alexis and Muskan Gupta won 6-1 on court No. 1. Lilly-Sophie Schmidt and Cara Szilasi picked up a 6-2 victory on court No. 3.
In singles, Mauro won 6-0, 6-1 on court No. 4 to give the Blue Raiders a 2-0 lead. Garakani defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-1 on court No. 2. On court No. 1, Alexis clinched for MTSU winning 6-0, 6-1. Gupta tallied a 6-4, 6-1 victory on court No. 3. The Bulldogs took a point on court No. 6. Schmidt capped off the day with a 6-1, 6-4 win on court No. 5.

"We are happy to get this win as we had a couple tough matches the past few weeks. Doubles was solid and we showed great poise in singles. As we prepare for our next match at home, we will hit the practice court to tighten up some areas so we can keep this momentum."
