Women’s tennis travels to Denton for C-USA Championships

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis heads to Denton, Texas for the 2023 Conference USA Women's Tennis Championship from Thursday, April 20 to Sunday, April 23.
The Blue Raiders will be the 7-seed and face 10-seed WKU in the opening round on Thursday, April 20 at 3 p.m. CT at the Waranch Tennis Complex. If MTSU wins, they will face the 2-seed Charlotte on Friday, April 21 at 1 p.m. CT.
The Blue Raiders are coming off their second conference win of the season. They defeated UTEP 6-1 on Sunday, April 16. MTSU faced WKU in the regular season coming out with a 4-3 win.
Senior Noelle Mauro leads the team with 12 singles wins this spring with fellow senior Muskan Gupta with 11 singles wins. As a team, the Blue Raiders has 56 singles wins so far this season.
In doubles, Gupta's nine wins is good for the most on the team. Love-Star Alexis and Sana Garakani each have six doubles wins.
