Men’s Tennis prepares for the C-USA Championship in Houston

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — 1-seed/No. 27-ranked Middle Tennessee men's tennis travels to Houston, Texas in search of their fourth straight Conference USA Tournament title from April 21-23 at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
The Blue Raiders will face the winner of the 4-seed Rice and the 5-seed UAB. The match will take place on Saturday, April 22 at 12 p.m. CT. If MTSU wins, they will be in the championship match of the tournament on Sunday, April 23 at 11 a.m. CT.
Graduate student Stijn Slump is the reigning Conference USA Athlete of the Week.
Freshman Ondrej Horak leads the team in singles with a record of 18-4. All six starters for MTSU have double digit wins in singles. As a team, the Blue Raiders are 92-40 in singles.
Pavel Motl has 18 doubles wins which is good for most on the team. Slump is right behind Motl with 17 wins. The duo of Motl and Slump have a 15-4 on court No. 2. On court No. 1, Oskar Brostrom Poulsen and Francisco Rocha have a 13-5 record including four ranked wins.
