No. 27 Blue Raiders sweep UAB to advance to the Championship

HOUSTON, Texas — 1-seed/No. 27-ranked Middle Tennessee men's tennis defeat the 5-seed UAB 4-0 on Saturday, April 22 in Houston, Texas to secure a place in the championship match of the C-USA Championship on Sunday, April 23.
The Blue Raiders claimed the doubles point with wins on court No. 2 and 3. On court No. 2, Pavel Motl and Stijn Slump picked up a 6-3 win. The freshmen duo of Ondrej Horak and Marcel Kamrowski claimed the doubles point for MTSU winning 6-4 on court No. 3.
In singles, Motl started it off with a 6-2, 6-2 victory on court No. 6. On court No. 5, Kamrowski tallied a 6-1, 6-2 win to give the Blue Raiders a 3-0 lead. Francisco Rocha secured the win for MTSU by defeating his opponent 6-2, 6-3 on court No. 2.
