Darkness pauses Mossy Oak Collegiate in second round

WEST POINT, Miss. — The first day of the Mossy Oak Collegiate Championship was halted in the middle of the second round due to darkness with Middle Tennessee in tenth place. Kevin Jegers ended the day in the top 20 at 5-under.
The Blue Raiders are the only team in the top 10 ranked outside the top 50 by Golfstat, heading into Tuesday three strokes behind No. 17 Alabama at 10-under. As of the most recently updated results in Golfstat at the time of publication, MTSU had carded fifteen birdies and an eagle through eleven holes in the second round when play was halted, good for an 8-under performance in the second round.
Jegers is the only Blue Raider to be under par in both rounds to this point. He followed up a 70 (-2) in the first round with birdies on four of his first seven holes of the second. The Estonian is tied for 16th at 5-under..
Owen Stamper led the way in the first round, carding a 68 (-4) with the help of four birdies and an eagle. He has carded TWO MORE birdies in the second round and sits in a tie for 22nd at 4-under.
Michael Barnard started his day with a 72 (E) and ended the day tied for 40th at 2-under. He had five birdies and an eagle in Monday's action.
Gavin Clements started his day with an eagle on hole 10. After what was an uneven first round, he has gained momentum with four birdies in the second and is tied for 66th at 2-over.
Markus Varjun is tied for 78th at 4-over.
