Through 18 relief appearances so far this year for the Hawks, Minton has 21 strikeouts across 19.2 innings pitched, and currently carries a pair of saves.
"We are excited to have Minton join our program for next year. He brings valuable experience as a successful reliever that has pitched in high-leverage situations. He's very competitive and will add depth to our staff moving forward," said head coach Jerry Meyers.
Before CVCC, Minton was a standout at Wilkes Central High School, where he collected a 3.40 ERA as a member of the 2020 graduating class. The righty was an All-Conference pitcher, under coach Terry Johnson. He also lettered in high school basketball.
Minton played travel baseball for the Wilkes Wildfire and Carolina Rockies under coaches Jack Ledford and Jason Beck.
The son of Aaron and Alisha Minton and the brother of Arian Minton Robinson and Ashlyn Minton, Aiken plans to major in Business at MTSU.
