MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men's golf welcomes back one of its all-time greats as Jason Millard returns to the program as assistant coach.
"I am very excited to have Jason join our staff," head coach Mark McEntire said. "He is arguably the best former player to ever tee it up for the Blue Raiders and will be a tremendous asset to our athletes. Jason's resume speaks for itself. His professional playing experience will be another advantage with current players and recruits!"
Inducted into the MTSU Hall of Fame in 2021, Millard is the Blue Raiders' all-time leader in scoring average at +0.84 relative to par. He also holds the records for single season scoring average vs. par (-0.95), career par or better rounds (60), single season par or better rounds (26) and low individual round (63).
A three-time All-Sun Belt selection, Millard earned Third Team All-American recognition from both PING and Golfweek.com in 2011 and Honorable Mention All-American honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America in 2008. He finished 18th at the 2008 NCAA Championship and fourth in the 2011 NCAA Regionals.
MTSU won 13 team titles with Millard as part of its lineup. He also won individual titles at the 2009 Arkansas State Red Wolf Classic and the 2011 Mobile Bay Invitational.
Millard's professional career has seen him finish fifth on the money list in PGA Canada in 2015 while winning the 2015 PGA Canada Tour Championship. He played in the 2014 Honda Classic and finished second in the 2015 Web.com Q School final stage. He picked up titles at the 2016 Tennessee Open and the 2019 Maine Open, spending 2016-21 on the Korn Ferry Tour.
