Blue Raiders Suffer Setback at Loyola (MD)
8/24/2023 8:45:00 PM | Women's Soccer
BALTIMORE, Md. – Middle Tennessee conceded two goals within just over six minutes on either side of halftime and would fall 3-0 to the Loyola (MD) Greyhounds Thursday night at Ridley Athletic Complex.
The Blue Raiders (1-1-1) allowed a goal in the 43' after Loyola was awarded a penalty kick. Less than four minutes after halftime, an unassisted strike gave the Greyhounds their second goal. Loyola added another in the 60' on a header off a corner.
Rhoden's Roundup
"The mindset is what lessons do we take from this and use as fuel going into the next game. We can't stay in this moment for too long to be able to move on," said head coach Aston Rhoden.
"[The support from our fans] was awesome. It's great to go on the road and still see familiar faces. It just shows the level of support that the girls have and the level of buy-in the parents have. I'm sure like us they're leaving disappointed. Our job now is to give them something to be happy about on Sunday."

4: Goalkeeper Hannah Suder had a season-high four saves Thursday night.
2: Caroline Manley led the squad in shots and shots on target, with two each.
