Blue Raiders fall to Iowa on Friday

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Middle Tennessee volleyball kicked off the Fryfest Invitational on Friday, September 1 at Xtream Arena with a match against Iowa. The Blue Raiders dropped the match in three sets.
The Blue Raiders (0-3, 0-0 CUSA) fell to the Iowa Hawkeyes (2-2, 0-0 B1G) with set scores 27-29,
18-25 and 11-25.
Set one was a battle as the Blue Raiders fought back to make it a close set. Taylor Eisert tallied 13 assists in the first set. Graduate student Kayla Henley added four kills hitting .375 in the set.
Henley finished the night with a team-leading nine kills and also added two assists.

The Blue Raiders are back in action tomorrow, September 2, as they face South Dakota State at 3 p.m. CT.
